Because, random little moments like this made me remember the day more.

Because, weddings are not just about highlight moments and confetti.

Because, Jamie, the bride of this wedding texted me these: “The photos are so good!!! Thank you so so much! And yes it (the slideshow) does! And it is so well done! The slideshow and photos relive the day a lot not a little! Showing us what we have missed. Capturing all the actions and expressions. 🙂 “

And because, i can be your alternative photographer.

(Read on because i’m telling you below why this was a good wedding celebration. And make sure you check out the slideshow at the bottom too!)

Jamie and Derek decided to make their wedding celebrations with no typical templates, at two laid-back venues – Alley Bar, and Tamarind Hill. Their programme gave ample space and time for their guests to mingle around and truly connect in genuine conversations. There was no rush for any particular march-in / cake-cutting etc, as they believed in living through all the little genuine moments. In other words, it is a wedding emphasised more on journeying, instead of targeting a destination.

And, this is what love doing — to capture people stories with my unique perspectives.

Right in the heart of Orchard, outside of a shophouse venue where the couple had their wedding celebration with their closest friends, i saw two very distinctive architecture types — the modern and classical. And that interesting juxtaposition in the urban context reminded me that love too is always formed and complemented by dualism in a relationship of two very different souls. The journey of love starts with ‘hide and seek’, and continues with countless frictions and reconciliation.
